Take care of your family: Let us ask God for the gift of faith for our family

7Th Sunday of Easter, Cycle C (Luke 24, 46-53)

In this gospel of Luke Jesus communicates to the disciples that what was happening to him had already been foretold by the prophets and that, from now on, the salvation of men is inevitably in needs of repentance, reconciliation and asking God for the forgiveness of all sins. Thus, the work of the Apostles will be to spread the message of Christ across the world, inviting people to conversion, once Jesus had given testimony of his death and resurrection.
With this event (the Ascension), Jesus shows us his dual nature, human (death on the cross) and divine (ascension to heaven) and asks us for humility by acknowledging our sins.Well, in the family conflicts occur on a regular basis and the best way to overcome them is humility, thus overcoming the pride that often prevents us from being reconciled. We must abandon ourselves wholeheartedly to Jesus, in his “humanity” and in his “divinity”, because only He knows our limitations and he is the only one that can shed light in what we are not able to see.In fact, He is able for everything

Proposal to take care of the family this week:

Let us ask God for the gift of faith for our family, to come ever closer to his example and thus be able to forgive and be forgiven and, in this way, enjoy the happiness that the reconciliation gives us
