Take care of your family: Aim to be an “agent of peace” for the rest of the family during these days.

II SUNDAY OF EASTER (Jn 20:19-31)
‘It was getting dark and the doors are locked’. Somehow this is what many families are experiencing today. And it’s not just confinement because of the pandemic. Also, because sometimes the “forces of evil” seem to dominate everything.
But, be that as it may… The risen Jesus comes to us and brings us “peace”. And then everything changes: “We have seen the Lord”! And it even changes for those of us who have not seen him with the “eyes of the body”: “Blessed are those who believe without having seen”.
If we are true Christians, we must recover the light and “open the doors”, which can be a beautiful metaphor in these times of recovering the joy of the Gospel, as so often recommended to us by Pope Francis.

Proposal to take care of the family this week:
Today, each member of the family could resolve to be an “agent of peace” for the rest of the family. And what better way to achieve this than to ask it of the Risen Lord, the Lord of Peace.
