Serving the Word: Mt 9: 27-31

FRIDAY 6 DECEMBER
Matthew 9, 27-31:
Two blind men followed Jesus, crying out, “Have mercy on us, son of David”.

How many times could each of us be those poor blind people on the roadside begging for alms!
The blind people of today’s Gospel cry out loudly to Jesus following Him on the road.
While darkness reigned in their eyes, the light of faith shone in their heart. And this light ends up suffocating the darkness, even illuminating the eyes.
In the midst of darkness, need and helplessness, you too cry out loudly to Jesus.
He is the light that shines in the darkness and illuminates every person who comes into this world. Darkness can never overcome its light.
And don’t only cry out so that it illuminates your own eyes. Shout also loudly so that it illuminates so many dark situations in which so many people live and which exist in our world.
You who receive the light of Christ, be also light for the world and for others.
Good day.
Good morning.
