Serving the Word: Mt 13: 36-43

TUESDAY 28TH JULY

Matthew 13, 36-43:
“As the weeds are plucked and burned, so shall it be in time… Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

God does not pull out the weeds for the time being. Let them and the wheat grow together.
He is patient and knows how to wait. It is the time of harvest that determines the place of each thing.
Patience has a lot to do with tolerance.
We believe that the good wheat is us and everything that does not fit in with our plan must be pulled out.
But the attitude of Jesus is different. His mercy, patience and understanding are very different from our mercy, patience and understanding.
He leaves the last judgment to God, who always has the last word.
And his last word is called Jesus.
Jesus is the mercy of the Father made flesh and evident to us all.
Jesus is always opportunity and salvation.
Examine yourself today on your degree of patience. Never condemn yourself on the basis of your own views.
Do not judge by appearances.
Learn from Jesus patience, tolerance, forgiveness and mercy.
Good day.
