Serving the Word: John 6, 52-59

FRIDAY, MAY 1
John 6, 52-59:
“My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in him.

The Jews do not understand, and neither do we: “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” We will understand Jesus’ words when we wish to participate fully in the Eucharist.
And participating in the Eucharist means uniting ourselves to Christ in such a way that the person and the life of Jesus shape our own person and our own life.
When we eat the bread of the Eucharist we become one with Jesus. His life moves our life. He lives in us and we live in Him.
Receive Him in the Eucharist whenever you have the opportunity, even if you can only do it spiritually now, and try to make it happen many times.
Worship Him, even if now you can only do it in your heart, present in the tabernacle and try to do it often.
Your life will be transformed without you realizing it because it is Jesus who transforms it to his standard.
Good day.
