First virtual race ‘Claret in solidarity’ in Las Palmas

The evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed the XLVII Olympiad to take place in the facilities of the Claret School in Las Palmas, which is organising the first Virtual Solidarity Race.

As part of this event, between 17 and 20 June, this new initiative will begin its first edition in favour of Proclade Canarias.

The main novelty of the race is that there is no predefined circuit and the distance can be completed anywhere in the world. Anyone who wishes to participate can do so, regardless of age, sex or nationality.

To participate, it will be necessary to download the Cronochip Canarias App on an Android or iOS mobile device, equipped with GPS. All registrations must be made through the platform www.sportmaniacs.com (search for I Carrera Virtual Claret Solidario).

The deadline for registration is 16 June at 12.00 noon and involves a contribution of 12 euros if done individually, or 10 euros per person if done in groups of 3-4 members.

The funds raised will go to the ‘Education Changes Lives’ programme which supports schools in India, Zimbabwe, DR Congo, Morocco and the Humahuaca mission in Argentina.
