WYD Lisbon 2023 less than 70 days away

With less than 70 days to go until WYD Lisbon 2023, the Fatima YVM Team continues to travel around the Province to inform and refine details so that the young people who will participate in the meeting with Pope Francis will have the best possible experience.

Thus, the PJV_Spain Team visited the Claret Youth group in Malaga (Spain). There was dialogue with those in charge, formation with the APJs, Vocational Coexistence with the young people of ESO, Baccalaureate and University and they shared a fraternal moment with them.

From the 5th to the 8th of May, the YVM Spain Team was in Almendralejo (Spain) to accompany the Claret Youth group, the APJs and the families of the young people who will participate in the WYD Claret Way 2023. In this course 2022-2023, most Fridays, about 200 children and adolescents pass by ‘Los Padres’ (place where the Claretian missionaries live) to receive the catechesis, being accompanied by about 30 APJs and 14 Neos APJs.

The Team of YVM Spain also held a first meeting in Seville (Spain) with the families of the young people who are going to participate in the WYD Claret Way 2023.

In addition, during the weekend of 19-21 May, the YVM Spain Team had the opportunity to be present in the Claret Youth Granada (Spain) to carry out a catechesis session with the young people and a meeting with the APJs and to continue preparing for the WYD.

For its part, in Portugal, a public health team of ACES Gaia/Espinho visited the facilities of the schools Internato Claret and Internato dos Carvalhos to verify that all the conditions were assured to welcome the 1,400 young people who will arrive from all over the world to participate in the Claretian World Youth Pre-WYD.

The Claret Way group also has a team of health volunteers (composed of students and professionals from various health areas) who will be available during the days of the Pre-World Youth Day to help the participants with any health problems that may arise.
