The young people from the “Comprometidos” group of the Parish of Nossa Senhora da Areosa (Porto, Portugal) who participated in World Youth Day (WYD) in Lisbon last August gave an interview to Ecclesia, the Information Agency of the Catholic Church in Portugal, as part of the new project it has launched, “Geração 2023”.
Among the experiences and testimonies that can be heard, the young people highlight that WYD made them “think and reflect on issues that are important”, and now “they will be able to transmit the message to other people who could not be there”.
Ecclesia Agency’s new project, “Geração 2023” (Generation 2023), aims to give young people a place in the Catholic Church in Portugal after the WYD experience. Thus, as has been done in the Areosa Parish, on the 23rd of each month there will be new graphic documents from different parishes, dioceses, youth groups of religious congregations or Catholic movements.
