On Sunday, March 12, the Ordinary General Assembly of Proclade Betica was held in Cordoba. The day took place in the neighbourhood of Miralbaida, in the Civic Centre and in the Claretian Parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the report and accounts for 2022 and the programming and budgets for 2023 were approved.
The most significant point on the agenda was the approval of the new Strategic Plan 2023-2029. The general objective of the Plan is to generate processes of personal and community change that favour co-responsibility, participation and advocacy to guarantee the rights of all people, their opportunities for a full life and care for the environment.
The main novelty is that volunteering is no longer addressed as an area of the organisation’s work and becomes a central actor in the plan, the strengthening of which is a transversal strategic line together with communication. From the areas of International Cooperation for Development, Social Action and Education for Development and Global Citizenship, four focal strategies will be addressed: Migrations and Interculturality, Integral Ecology, Right to Education and Peace and Reconciliation. The Plan establishes three Biannual Operational Programmes as a monitoring and evaluation tool that will specify the actions, responsibilities and timetable.
