The 48th Olympics of the Claret School in Las Palmas were held

Some 1,200 students from the Claret School of Las Palmas took part in the XLVIII Sports-Cultural-Solidarity Olympiad in the facilities of the Tamaraceite section from 15th to 22nd June.

The event began with the lighting of the Olympic flame in the parish church of Corazón de María to take it from the Easter Candle in the Church to the Tamaraceite section, passing through all the sections of the school. In addition, the Olympic medals were blessed, which would be awarded to the participants in the various sporting disciplines during those days.

With the stands full of parents, and the presence of school authorities and other guests, such as the rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Mr. Lluis Serra, the students were able to enjoy a great time mixing sport, solidarity and entertainment.
