Take care of your family: make the decision not to throw back at them our efforts and sleepless nights.

27Th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (Luke 17, 5-10)

“The apostles said to the Lord: Increase our faith”. The faith is demanded and God grants it. And performs miracles. But Jesus did not perform miracles for his own benefit, but in the service of obedience to the Father. But the vast majority, we with little faith, ask for miracles to fix our problems. Let us ask for faith to work for our family, but not to get our whims or particular preferences, but for the good of all the family.
Very often someone says to their families: “What I have done by the family…! You should be thankful for what I have done for the family! But I don’t feel rewarded by that effort, you are ungrateful!”. However, the Gospel tells us that we must do everything commanded (not what is our desire). And, once it is done, say: “We are useless servants, we did what we had to do”
Proposal to take care of the family this week:
Let us ask for faith for us and our family. And make the decision not to throw back at them our efforts and sleepless nights. “We are useless servants, we did what we had to do”
