VIIth SUNDAY OF EASTER – ASCENSION OF THE LORD (Mt 28:16-20)
With the Ascension of the Lord the cycle of Jesus’ earthly sojourn is closed, but in
in no way his abandonment of humanity. We count on his promise of permanence
“until the end of time”. Jesus will remain our earthly companion and permanent help on our journey, starting with our family. This forces us Christians to assume our obligation-mission to be sowers of PEACE AND LOVE in our world.
Proposal to take care of our family:
Let us live this next week, at the family, social, and work level, trying to make present, with
the help of Jesus Risen and Ascended to Heaven, the values that the Lord practiced during
their stay on earth, all based on service and love to all our brothers and sisters.
