SOLEMNITY OF JESUS CHRIST KING OF THE UNIVERSE (Lk 23, 35-43)
In today’s Gospel Jesus, crucified, suffers the mockery of authorities, soldiers… Only the “good thief” believes in Him. But Jesus dies forgiving everyone.
This is the King of the Christians, who triumphs by dying on a cross. The condition for entering his Kingdom is to accept his teachings and follow his example of life: unconditional love – even for our enemies – service, fraternal giving, forgiveness, doing good. And all this, as it cannot be otherwise, beginning always with those closest to us, with our family.
PROPOSAL TO TAKE CARE OF THE FAMILY THIS WEEK
To examine ourselves if, as a family, we are living from the “values of the Kingdom”, contributing with our way of life to its establishment. Or for all of us to choose a “value of the Kingdom” to live especially this week.
