Serving the Word: Mt 5: 33-37

Matthew 5, 33-37:
“All you need say is “Yes” if you mean yes, No if you mean no”.

How many times do we have on our lips words that we speak and direct to God and to others but in ourheart we have feelings that do not correspond to those words.
How many times do we want good for others and yet beneath the surface we are full of envy and resentment.
How many times do we say to the Lord “thy will be done”, and in the background, we are looking out for ourselves.
It is a good day today to review, from this passage of the Gospel, our sincerity of heart.
Examine whether the words that come from your lips come from truly fromyour heart.
That, as Jesus said to us all, “all you need to say is “Yes” if you mean yes and “No” if you mean no; anything more than this comes from the Evil One”.
Good day.
