Matthew 5, 13-16:
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the salt of the world”.
We, the followers of Jesus, have the mission to make him present in the here and now of history.
And that is what we do when we are lighted lamps and not like damp salt which has lost its flavour.
The world today needs the light of the Gospel of Jesus.
And the world also needs the flavour of that Gospel today.
You are Light. You are salt.
Let your light shine, let your light will also give light and spread a lot of light.
And that your living out of the Gospel of Jesus give flavour to everything you need in life, of joy, in closeness and affection.
Today seek to be a light and to be salt for all those around you and for all those with whom you meet throughout the day.
