Serving the Word: Mt 4: 12-17.23-25

TUESDAY, JANUARY 7

Matthew 4, 12-17.23-25:
“Jesus withdrew to Galilee. And he began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And he went around all Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and proclaiming the kingdom and healing the diseases and infirmities of the people.

Christmas time is over and we are back to the normality of our life. We each retreat to “our personal Galilee”: our work, our studies, our ordinary family life, our ordinary life of relationships with others…
Try to find Jesus there, in “your personal Galilee”. If you have found him in Bethlehem as a child, you will also find him in “your ordinary Galilee”.
Do not stop turning your life towards God and, as you walk through “your Galilee”, go and proclaim the Gospel and do, like Jesus, all the good that is within your reach.
Good day.
