Matthew 19, 3-12:
“What God has joined together, let no man put asunder.”
Jesus exposes God’s original project, which was not a project of superiority of man over woman, but a project of unity and equality between the two.
Marriage is a small community of love.
A school of virtues.
A small temple for Christian believers.
Its central nucleus is love.
Two lives that are given to form one life.
Two hearts that offer themselves to achieve one heart.
This is the beautiful project of God that we strike against with so much fury in today’s society.

We pray today for so many married couples who suffer pain, break-up, separation…
