Serving the Word: Mk 4, 26-34

FRIDAY 31 JANUARY

Mark 4, 26-34:
“To what can we compare the kingdom of God? With a mustard seed: when sown on the ground it is the smallest of seeds, but once sown it grows, it becomes taller than other shrubs and puts out branches so big that the birds of the air can nest in its shade”.

Jesus likes simple, humble and small things, because in the small and in the weak God’s greatness and strength are shown.
He says that the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. Something so small grows and bears fruit and life.
Plant your life from the small. In this way, you will become great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
The holiness of the Gospel does not consist in doing heroics. A true hero is a person who keeps his or her faithfulness in “the small change of the day”.
Trust in the power of the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. Let yourself be led by Him and you will see how the grace of God will germinate in you, grow and produce an abundant harvest.
Good day to you.
