Serving the Word: Mk 1: 29-39

WEDNESDAY 15 JANUARY 2020

Mark 1, 29-39:
“Jesus went with James and John to the house of Simon and Andrew. Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told him. Jesus came and took her by the hand and raised her up. He cured many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He got up early in the morning, went out into the wilderness and there began to pray.

This passage from St. Mark’s Gospel describes a day in the life of Jesus:
after passing through the synagogue, he makes a life at home, he cures the fever of a sick person, he also cures various illnesses, he expels many demons and “he rose early in the morning and went out into the open and there he began to pray”.
Always doing good. Always serving others. And also looking for quiet moments to pray and be with the Father.
Plan your days as Jesus planned them: work, rest, do good, serve those around you and do not forget to find a time of solitude and also to place yourself in the presence of the Father to pray.
Good day.
