Serving the Word: Mk 10, 1-12

Mark 10, 1-12:
“What God has joined together, let no man put asunder”.

The Pharisees looked for loopholes to get round the law of Moses. There were always going by the way of strict legality, looking for their own convenience.
As always, also today they resort to the law interpreted in a rigid and impersonal way.
Jesus, as always, goes another way. He always goes the way of mercy and love. And makes it very clear that what comes from God is that a woman and a man who form a unit, look together for the communion of life to which they are called.
We ask today for all the families, all marriages and, in particular, for those marriages and for those families who find it difficult to be faithful to their vocation of dedication and love.
Good day
