Serving the Word: Lk 6: 27-38

Luke 6, 27-38:
“I say this to you who are listening: the amount you measure out in the amount you will be given back”.

Certainly, Jesus knows to whom and for whom he speaks.
The words of the Gospel of today are not directed at just anyone.
They express an intense summary, by way of a practical synthesis, through its language and by its message.
And, as the whole of the Gospel, they are demanding, clear and direct.
And can only be understood by those who listen to Jesus.
Those who listen to Jesus like listening to the rain cannot understand the profound sense of his message.
And yet, in his message, in his Gospel
, we find the key to a happy existence: love and do good. Try today to love, bless, give, lend, do good, be compassionate, not to judge, not to condemn, to forgive…
In one word: use the measure you want others to use with you.
And you’ll see that this measure is the same measure for your happiness.
Enjoy today by listening to Jesus a lot.
Good day.
