Serving the Word: Lk 19: 1-10

Tuesday 19 November

Luke 19, 1-10:
“When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and spoke to him, “Zaccheus, come down. Hurry, because today I have to stay at your house”. And he hurried down and welcomed him joyfully”.

Jesus today passes by close to Zacchaeus who climbed a sycamore tree as he wanted to see Jesus.
Jesus fixed his eyes on Zacchaeus and invites himself to stay at his house because he wants salvation to enter that house of Zacchaeus. Open the doors of the house of your heart to Jesus today.
Today also he wants to stay in your home.
To do this, you may have to make a “leap” as did Zacchaeus when getting out of the tree.
You may need to get down out of the tree of pride, the tree of apathy, the tree of laziness, the tree of lack of love, and so many “trees” that can prevent Jesus from staying in your heart.
But you can be sure that you too, like Zacchaeus, will experience the joy of salvation.
If Jesus enters your home, you will notice that your life is reoriented, that he makes everything new, that your love grows and you give it to others and truly experience how the joy of the Gospel is reborn in you.
Good day.
