Luke 17, 20-25:
“The Kingdom of God will not come dramatically”.
“Goodness is only seen with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eyes”.
With the heart a mother sees the heart of her son.
With the heart lovers sees the heart that it falls in love with.
With the heart a friend sees the heart of his friend.
“The Kingdom of God is within you.”
The Kingdom of God, as all the essentials, like everything important, begins and is in the heart of each person.
The Kingdom of God is in your heart.
Today, when we pray the Our Father and say “Thy Kingdom come”, take a look at the heart.
Examine what is in it.
To the extent that it is full of love, gratitude, forgiveness, joy, generosity, enthusiasm… in the same measure the Kingdom of God will be in you. Without fireworks, without great shows, without amazing things.
The Kingdom of God will be in your heart to the extent that your heart is being filled with the Gospel.
And also, from your heart it will be extended and spreading throughout the world.
May you catch the fire of the kingdom of God today.
