Serving the Word: Lk 10: 1-12

Luke 10, 1-12:
“The harvest is abundant, but the labourers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into his harvest. Set out on the road!”

Also today, as in the time of Jesus, the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.
Even without knowing it, our world hungers and thirsts for God because he is hungry and thirsty for peace and justice, forgiveness and mercy, goodness and beauty, love and acceptance. Our world is like an immense sown field that is waiting for the rain of God because it is dying of thirst.
And it is waiting for workers to set out on way overcoming the obstacles, putting in all their effort, ready not to stop, little luggage and no fear of fatigue.
Set out on the way today! Get in tune with the whole Church that, following the shepherd Francis, wants to live ‘going forth’.
We do not evangelize from our paralysis or with our arms crossed, peacefully seated in an office or in an armchair.
We evangelize by coming out of ourselves and setting out on the road.
We will also ask much that the owner of the harvest send out laborers into his harvest.
Good day.
