Serving the Word: John 6, 22-29

MONDAY 27TH APRIL

John 6, 22-29:
“Work not for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.”

God wants us to be concerned about material things.
He has given us an intelligence and given us other gifts so that we can provide ourselves with food, clothing, and also live a dignified life.
But there are times when we work more for the food that seems to last for eternal life.
Jesus himself tells us to seek first of all the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and everything else will be given to us in addition.
But often we seek first the additions and neglect the essential and what is really important.
We fail to understand that the only source that can satisfy all the hunger and thirst of the world, and also all kinds of hunger and thirst, is the source of love that Jesus taught us with his life and with his word.
Try to work today for this food which gives you and all humanity eternal life.
Good day.
