Serving the Word: John 20: 11-18

TUESDAY APRIL 14 – TUESDAY IN THE OCTAVE OF EASTER

John 20, 11-18:
“Jesus says to her, ‘Mary! She turns and says: “Rabboni!”, which means: “Master!”.

“Outside, by the tomb, Mary was crying.”
Mary is still crying by the tomb. She does not realize that the emptiness of the tomb is not because the body of Jesus has been stolen, but because Jesus has emerged triumphant from it.
Mary begins to live the risen life of Jesus when she hears his name and turns around.
Also today, the risen Jesus addresses you by calling your name.
He also wants to tear you away from your tears and your graves.
Like Mary, you only have to turn to Him and recognize Him as your Master and Lord.
Mary did not just turn and recognize the Lord. She went to the disciples and announced that she had seen the Lord.
Proclaim with your word, with your deeds and, above all, with your life, that you too have seen the risen Lord.
Good day.
