Serving the Word: John 16: 23b-28

John 16, 23b-28:
“I assure you: if you ask for anything in my name, I will give it to you.”

How many times have I heard it said that God does not hear the prayers addressed to him because he does not give us what we ask.
However, Jesus promised that everything that we ask the Father in His name, he would give it to us.
Possibly we lack this requirement in our petitions: asking for it in the name of Jesus.
To ask in the name of Jesus is asking what is in line with his Gospel, because sometimes we ask for things that can go in other directions.
Always ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit. He knows what you have need of.He knows to give you what at every moment of your life you need.
And he also knows to give what in each moment of life others people need.
Ask that it be accomplished in you and in all creatures the will of the Father, because your good Father always wants the best.for you and fro others.
Pray today, and many times and also very slowly, the Lord’s Prayer, the prayer that Jesus taught us.
Good day.
