Serving the Word: 8th April

Luke 24, 35-48:

“You are witnesses of this”.

To be witnesses of something it is necessary to have seen, heard, experienced that of which one is a witness.

The first disciples of Jesus saw, heard, felt and experienced his risen presence.

We must be people who encounter Jesus personally in prayer, in the sacraments and in his Word.

We must be people who feel his wounds in the wounds of our brothers and sisters, in their suffering and pain.

We must also be people who feel the joy of his presence and who transmit this joy.

We are the actual witnesses of the new life brought to us by the Risen Jesus.

With the strength that Jesus gives you, do not be afraid to be his witness in the world today.

Good day.
