Serving the Word: 28th June

TUESDAY 28th JUNE 2022

Matthew 8, 23-27:

“Jesus stood up, rebuked the winds and the lake, and there came a great calm.”

Jesus never ceases to be very close to us. He himself promised: “I will be with you until the end of the world”.

Sometimes it may seem that he is asleep or that he is not interested in us and we seem to sink. As the Gospel tells us today, suddenly such strong storms arise that our poor boat seems to be engulfed by waves.

Do not hesitate at these times to draw near to him and cry out to him as the disciples did. These are times to trust more in his Word, to cling more to prayer and to ask for his help.

Trust in Jesus and don’t let fear take hold of you and think he has abandoned you.

Remember: “I will be with you until the end of the time”.

Good day.
