Serving the Word: 21st January

THURSDAY 21 JANUARY 2021

Mark 3, 7-12:

“Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the shore of the lake, and a crowd from Galilee followed him. When they heard what he was doing, many people came from Judea, Jerusalem, and Idumea, from the Transjordan, from the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon. He charged his disciples to have a boat ready so that the crowd would not press against him.

Why are so many people looking for Jesus?

+ Because they all want to feel his healing and saving power.

+ Because they all want to feel his love and closeness.

+ Because they know that Jesus is interested in people and that he also cares for people.

+ Because, as Pope Francis would say, Jesus wants to “smell like a sheep”.

Today too, we all need Jesus’ closeness and affection.

We also all need his healing, his curative force and his saving power.

Do not hesitate to approach Jesus and to touch him so that his grace can be transmitted to your life.

You will approach and touch him in prayer, in the Eucharist, in the sacrament of Reconciliation.

And keep in mind that, if you are united with Jesus, through you too the power, grace, forgiveness, joy and salvation of Jesus will pass on to many others.

Work to be united with Him.

In Jesus you will find LIFE and from Him you too will be able to transmit LIFE in capital letters.

Good day.
