Serving the Word: 13th January

WEDNESDAY 13 JANUARY 2021

Mark 1, 29-39:

“Jesus went with James and John to the house of Simon and Andrew. Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told him. Jesus came and took her by the hand and lifted her up. He healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. He got up early in the morning, went out into a solitary place, and there he began to pray.”

This passage from the Gospel of St. Mark describes a day of Jesus:

After passing by the synagogue, he makes life at home, he cures the fever of a sick person, he also cures various illnesses, he expels many demons and “he got up early in the morning, went out to a solitary place and there he began to pray”.

Always doing good. Always serving others. And also looking for quiet moments to pray and be with the Father.

Plan your days as Jesus planned them: work, rest, do good, serve those around you and do not forget to find some time of solitude and also put yourself in the presence of the Father to pray.

Good day.
