SATURDAY 13th FEBRUARY 2021
Mark 8:1-10:
“I have compassion on the people, because they have been with me for three days already and have nothing to eat, and if I send them away to their homes fasting, they will faint on the way. Besides, some of them have come a long way.”
Again we find Jesus surrounded by people.
And again we meet the compassionate Jesus who feels tenderness for these people who have been with him for three days and have nothing to eat.
Again we see Jesus looking for a remedy for the hunger of those who are with him.
And again we see Jesus breaking the loaves of bread that he gives to the disciples so that they can give them to the people and eat their fill.
Be with Jesus today too.
Sit at the table of the Eucharist. Saturate yourself with the life of Jesus. Unite yourself to him in the bread that is his body and you will be filled with eternal life.
Good day.
