MONDAY 12th APRIL 2021
John 3, 1-8:
“Whoever is not born again cannot see the Kingdom of God…. Whoever is not born of water and the Spirit cannot enter into the Kingdom of God…. You must be born again.”
St. John the Evangelist takes advantage of Jesus’ interview with Nicodemus to give us a catechesis on baptism.
We all received it one day and we are all renewing it in a special way during this Easter season.
Today we are told that baptism is a new birth. If you live your baptism, your life has to change, you have to be another person.
You are, from your baptism, like a graft joined to Jesus Christ. Let his life flow through you and let your life be continually renewed with new lifeblood.
Renew your baptism today. Renounce Satan, all his works and all his seductions and believe with all your heart in God, the Father almighty, in his only Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life.
In this way you will be born again and you too will see and enter the Kingdom of God.
