SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER
Luke 11, 27-28:
“Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts that nursed you. But Jesus said, “Better, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.
Today, two beautiful compliments to the Mother of Jesus appear in the Gospel.
We want to highlight the enthusiasm and courage of that woman who dared to proclaim aloud the wonders that the Lord had done in Mary.
She was a courageous woman to make her voice resound in the midst of the crowd.
This woman invites all of us today to raise our voice too, praising the Mother of God.
May we never be afraid to profess Mary as the Mother of the Church and therefore as the Mother of each one of us, the followers of Jesus.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Good day.
