WEDNESDAY 10th FEBRUARY 2021
Mark 7, 14-23:
“What comes from within, that indeed defiles a man. For from within a man’s heart proceed evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, covetousness, injustice, unrighteousness, fraud, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, frivolity. All these evils come from within and make a man impure.”
Today’s Gospel continues with the same theme as yesterday, so I invite you to re-read yesterday’s commentary. We often say that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. It is also true that what leads us to adopt a certain behaviour or to carry out certain actions is what we carry in our hearts. Because we also say that what is effective is what is affective. Take care to fill your heart with all that is good.
Fill yourself with everything that leads you to serve more and better, to work more and better for others, to find yourself more and better with God. Fill your heart with everything that leads you to act out of love and to seek the good of others.
Good day.
