Last session of the training itinerary for global volunteering 2022 of Proclade Bética

The last training session for people who are preparing their international volunteering experience with Proclade Betica was held on the 14th of May. The aim was to continue strengthening views, approaches, skills and attitudes to build global-local citizenship, from an intercultural and human rights approach.

The session was attended by the host communities, three of them in online connections: the management of the Lerchundi Home in Tangiers, the Claretian Community of Ruwa (Zimbabwe) and the technical team of Proclade Colven (Colombia). In the case of Brazil, the Itinerant Team of Amazonia was present in person, since part of the team is on an awareness-raising trip to Spain.

In their presentations, the host communities brought the reality of their environments closer to the volunteers and offered keys for reflection on the role of global volunteering in the transformation of the world.

The participants made explicit their desire to continue their commitment to the trip and the subsequent gathering and socialisation, and a community send-off took place. It was a session full of emotions, hope and desire to build a new world with others.
