Easter celebration at CIC on the first day back to school

With the motto ‘Reborn for others’, the Colégio Internato Dos Carvalhos (CIC) celebrated Easter on the first day back to school for the third term.

We share a small chronicle elaborated by the Pastoral Council of the centre:

Gathered in three moments (one for each school year), as usual to avoid crowds, all students were invited to reflect on the Easter message of Christ, in a celebration lovingly prepared by the Pastoral Council of CIC.

Starting with the reading of the word of God from the Gospel of St. Luke on the mystery of the Resurrection: “Why do you seek the living among the dead?”, Fr. José Maia took the floor to speak to us about the essence of the Paschal Mystery, the death of Christ, the Lamb of God, who, with his Resurrection, saves us and shows us the way to true Life.

All the students were then invited to “ground” the Easter message in their lives, in their daily lives. To do this, they reflected on how, following Christ’s example, they should “take care” of the seeds they carry in their hearts, so that they bear good fruit, which should be placed at the service of others, so that all may live in joy and light.

Let us, then, allow ourselves to be transformed by the Easter Cross, to be reborn for others.
