Actions of the ECEM during the month of June

During the month of June, the Claretian Team of Missionary Evangelisation (ECEM) faced different actions:

– Mission in the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua located in the neighbourhoods of Polvorín and San Antonio of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It was held from 13 to 26 June after having been postponed several times due to the pandemic; the initial date was May 2022. The ECEM had the valuable collaboration of Fr. José Ramón García, member of the Córdoba-Miralbaida community.

– Preparation and coordination of the 1st Meeting of Parishes and Temples of the Province of Fatima held from 6 to 9 June in our House of Spirituality in Fatima (Portugal). Fr. Antonio Ávila, coordinator of the Secretariat of Parishes and Temples of the Province, directed this meeting with the support of Fr. Jorge Ramón Sánchez Palacios, Prefect of Apostolate of the Province of Fatima.

– The ECEM participated in the online meeting of the Team of Parishes and Temples of Spain on 13 June, in which preparations were made for the Meeting of Parishes and Temples of our Province of Fatima, which will take place from 2 to 4 September in the Diocesan House of Spirituality in Malaga.

– Various preachings were held: Novena of the Heart of Mary in Seville (17-26 June); talks on the occasion of Corpus Christi in Tocina (Seville, 10 June) and in Zafra (Badajoz, 14 June).

– Spiritual Exercises: In Granada, to the Daughters of Christ the King (1 to 5 June); in Arébalo (Ávila), to the Sisters of the Love of God (28 June to 6 July).

– Other activities: Visits and contacts with priests of Gran Canaria, La Gomera and Tenerife with a view to setting up the Parish Mission and other missionary initiatives; participation in the 1st Meeting of the Area of First Announcement organised by the Spanish Episcopal Conference.
