TOGETHER FOR THE WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES

On our journey towards consolidation as a Province, we continue working to weave networks among the various positions that comprise it. This time, in connection with the celebration of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees, closely linked to the pastoral proposal launched within the Mission Plan and in communion with the universal Church, the Provincial Communication Office, together with Proclade Bética, Proclade Canarias, and the Procure of Portugal, joined forces to collaborate on this special day.

Under the theme of the day, God walks with His people, specific ways were showcased in which God, through these entities and their projects, accompanies migrant populations. Here, we share some of the feedback we received. Together, we continue building Fátima and the Kingdom.

“This initiative from the Province of Fátima seemed very positive to us, as it brought together three different realities where work is done with various people for their well-being and dignity. It is very valuable to give space for everyone’s contribution and sharing regarding the actions they promote and develop. This joint effort also reinforces the importance of everyone’s work in their context and has enabled it to be more widely publicized and known.”

Procura de Portugal

“Creating this mini-campaign as a Claretian family, from different branches and locations, has opened up a range of possibilities for future joint actions we could undertake. Working in community not only multiplies the impact in terms of visibility and metrics but also allows us to listen to each other, come closer, and accompany one another. Only through closer collaboration will we achieve synodality. In the words of the Holy Father: ‘A synodal Church is a Church of listening, aware that listening is more than hearing. It is a mutual listening in which everyone has something to learn.’”

Proclade Bética

“We found it a great idea to carry out this ‘God walks with His people’ campaign jointly with the Procure and Proclade Bética. Proclade Canarias felt like an important part of a Claretian community working around the world alongside those most in need. This way of showcasing solidarity and mission actions globally as the Province of Fátima has allowed all of us at Proclade Canarias to experience the synodality of our Province, even across geographical distances (from the Canary Islands), but always with a sense of community unity.”
