The XLIX Sports-Cultural-Solidarity Olympiad of the Claret School of Las Palmas was held from the 16th to the 22nd of June, one of the most awaited moments of the year due to the atmosphere of coexistence, effort and joy that is experienced during these days.
With the lighting of the Olympic flame through the Paschal Candle, the sports encounter began, which every year highlights the values of the Claretian ideology: companionship, friendship, love, the Gospel, empathy and freedom. This year, the opening ceremony honoured the mission of the ‘Padrito Claret’ and especially his visit to the Canary Islands 175 years ago.
It has been a wonderful few days where the good atmosphere has prevailed in all the days, in which the students, their families and the educational community have lived with the same enthusiasm as the first time all the sporting, cultural and solidarity activities that have been carried out.
