Take care of your family: To offer, as a family, a trusting prayer to Jesus, asking Him to always guide the actions of all

18th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Mt 14:13-21)

A few thoughts on a great miracle:
COMPASSION: Jesus, followed by a crowd, takes pity on and heals the sick they bring to him.
SHARING: the disciples suggest that Jesus sends the people away, but Jesus wants everyone to share his miracle: he blesses the few loaves of bread that are there and multiplies them.
GENEROSITY: he only had a few loaves, but the one who had them gave everything and that generosity was the source of Jesus’ “macro-miracle”.
ANTICIPATION: later, at his last supper with his apostles, Jesus will perform “another miracle”, that of the bread becoming forever the Eucharist that feeds and guides our life.

Proposal to take care of our family this week:
To offer, as a family, a trusting prayer to Jesus, asking Him to always guide the actions of all
