Take care of your family: Dedicate a moment for each person to say with an expression – a word, a phrase – who Jesus is for them.

21st Sunday in Ordinary Time (Mt 16:13-20)

When listening to today’s Gospel reading, we could focus on St. Peter’s answer and on Jesus’ subsequent praise of his disciple’s answer, but today we can put the focus on our Saviour’s question: “Who do you say that I am?” More direct, impossible. Moreover, it is a question that we could apply to our family environment: who is Jesus for our family, for its members? What place does he occupy in our ordinary life or in the midst of the complicated moments we are living today? Jesus, as a good Master, leads us to stand up and think seriously about how we should place ourselves before him.

Proposal to take care of our family this week:
Dedicate a meal time for each one to say with an expression -a word, a phrase- who Jesus is for them.
