Take care of your family: Dedicate a family meal to talk about what we are all afraid of.

12th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Mt 10:26-33)

It is very human to be fearful, of big and small things, of people… Jesus acknowledges this, makes us think of him and invites us to live in freedom, feeling, suffering, coping… In life we react emotionally to many things by living them as threats. This also happens within our homes. This situation paralyzes us and generates insecurity, we want to run away. Jesus involves us, makes us grow in commitment, encourages us to stay. He invites us not to turn our backs on ourselves or on those with whom we share our life.

Proposal to take care of the family this week:
Family life is full of occasions to show the way to those who are part of it. Marriage, parents, grandparents, siblings… must be a source of inspiration to stay and accept. To the extent that we are able to make threats an opportunity, we will be making our faith stronger and our children, spouses, grandchildren, and other loved ones around us will live it too.
