1 SUNDAY OF LENT
“Filled with the Holt Spirit Jesus was led through the desert (…) Man does not live on bread alone (…)You must worship the Lord your God (…) You must not putthe Lord your God to the Test”
COMMENTARY:
The action of the Holy Spirit is shown in that it was he who led and guided Jesus in his time in the desert and all of his subsequent public life. This Holy Spirit is given to everyone in baptism and, equally, accompanies us throughout our history so that with his help to overcome the thousand temptations which we have throughout our life as also in the heart of our families.
PROPOSAL TO CARE FOR OUR FAMILY DURING THIS WEEK:
Letus try during this first week of Lent to pray as a family, asking the Holy Spirit his special help in this ‘journey through life’, to act coherently in our life as a family, in work, in society, with the faith we say we profess, and to be able to overcome the temptations that present themselves to us every day.
