SILVER JUBILEE OF FR JUAN JESÚS GEA CARRASCO, CMF

On an evening defined by deep emotion and a profound sense of belonging, the community gathered on 12 May at 7:30 pm at the Parish of the Holy Spirit in Granada. They came together to celebrate with gratitude the Silver Jubilee of the priesthood of Fr Juan Jesús Mª Gea Carrasco.

The celebration was a true reflection of the fraternal network that sustains our institutional mission. In attendance were members of the Provincial Government, including the Father Provincial and the Provincial Bursar, alongside Claretian missionaries from various cities who wished to share in this significant milestone.

Nevertheless, the human and family element remained the emotional cornerstone, with Fr Juan Jesús’s family travelling from France and his birthplace, Vélez-Rubio (Almería).

This celebration stands as a testament that religious life is a shared journey of mutual accompaniment. In the words of “Fr Juanje” himself:

“It has been a joyful celebration, a feeling of being truly embraced. Just as they have walked alongside me, I have walked alongside them.”
