Serving the Word: Mt 9: 9-13

Matthew 9, 9-13:
“As Jesus was walking on, he saw a man named Matthew sitting by the customs house, and he said to him: “Follow Me”. The he got up and followed him”.

We all have our “customs house”.
We sit in it and from there we pass invoices all over the world because we believe that all are our debtors.
Jesus today teaches us to get up and leave our “customs house”.
Stop believing that everybody owes you and should be thankful to you.
The important thing is to follow Jesus and to go leaving our “taxes” with others.
Like Matthew, he also offers you a banquet at which you serve without measure generosity and gratitude and that this feast lasts for all your days.
May this feast also be an expression of your joy of having been called by Jesus.
Sure you will be happy. Because that way, Jesus will be seated at your table and multiply abundantly everything that you give free of charge and with gratitude.
Good day.
