Serving the Word: Mt 9: 32-38

Matthew 9, 32-38:
“The people were amazed: “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” But the Pharisees said: “It is through the prince of devils that he casts out devils.”

While the humble and simple people praise and admire the deeds of Jesus, the Pharisees always have criticism on the lips.
However, those criticisms do not prevent he who follows Jesus “making a tour through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom and curing all kinds of diseases and ailments.”
Nor do those criticisms prevent the people from coming to Jesus “as sheep that have no shepherd.”
Come close to Jesus yourself today. Sure, you have need of him as a Good Shepherd.
Rest and give yourself up to him.
Also consider that Jesus needs the arms, hands and heart of those who want to work in his field: “The harvest is abundant but the labourers are few”.
Pray to the Lord to send laborers into his harvest and offer yourself as one of his workers.
Good day.
