Serving the Word: Mt 7: 21. 24-27

THURSDAY 5 DECEMBER
Matthew 7, 21.24-27:
“He who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew, and they hurled themselves against the house; but it did not fall, because it was founded on rock.

Little by little we are getting closer to Christmas. And the vortex of these days can be a good indicator to know and realize the foundations on which the construction of our life is based and, above all, our life of faith.
If for you the parties with workmates or relatives are more important, the gifts, the lights, the celebrations and many other things that conceal the true meaning of Christmas, it means that your life of faith is being built on sand and not on firm rock.
We are always on time to take care of our spiritual life and to continue building it on solid rock.
Be faithful to your daily prayer, to your daily encounter with the Word, to your frequent living of the Eucharist.
Celebrate during this time of Advent the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Become in this time more sensitive and close to the people who suffer, who are hungry, who need you.
May this time of Advent serve you to resemble that wise man of the Gospel who built his house on rock.
Good day.
