Matthew 6:1-6.16-18:
“When you give alms, do not have it trumpeted before you. When you pray, go to your private room and, when you have shut the door, pray to your Father who is in that secret place. When you fast, do not put on a gloomy look as the hypocrites do: they pull long faces to let men know they are fasting”.
The Lord invites us today to cover and walk by three paths that lead us to God and they are three paths that are essential for our life of following Jesus.
In our journey of following Jesus alms giving, fasting and prayer are indispensable.
More alms for the other, more fasting for one’s self, more prayer to God.
* Fast from noise and distractions that prevent you from hearing the voice of your consciousness and find you more deeply with God and with others.
* Give alms by giving to yourself, from within. Share your qualities, your time, your property, your life…
* Deal more with the Lord. Don’t forget to meet each day with him in your daily time of prayer. Weekly in the Eucharist and frequently in the Sacrament of reconciliation.
Revive and care in yourself these good intentions.
So will you celebrate with all joy and fullness your daily encounter with the Lord.
Good day.
