Serving the Word: Mt 12, 1-8

Matthew 12, 1-8:
“If you had understood the meaning of thewords “What I want is mercy, not sacrifice”, you would not have condemned the blameless.”

A group of Pharisees are shocked that Jesus and his disciples picked ears of wheat on the Sabbath, rubbed them in their hands and ate the grain.
Their eyes are only fixed on the norm and rule. They are unable to see beyond it
They don’t know see that those people that pick the ears and eat the grain do so because they are hungry.
Always try to look with the eyes of God, which are the eyes of mercy and know how to look beyond appearances.
They are eyes that move the heart to sympathize with the work and the miseries of others.
They are the eyes that move the hands to put into practice the love and healing for others.
Today look with the eyes of God and let them always put in motion your heart and your hands.
Good day.
